Prindle 16 Launch?
We are fairly new Prindle 16 owners and have launched last October at Shell Point. Would like to try somewhere new but don't have confidence in boat ramps given we would have to drag it over concrete. Any suggestions on where to put in within a 2 hour drive from Tally that we could back the trailer up to the beach and drag the boat across the sand? We are 2 fairly strong women but the shorter distance, the better. Thanks for the help. Robbyn

There is a launch off HY 98, past Panacea and past the turn off to Alligator Point. It is about 3-4 miles past the Alligator Point turn off. There is public ramp, and you can drop the boat on the sand, although there is some pavement you need to watch for. It is about an hour from Tally. This is by far the best and closest launch for a cat. I have sailed my Hobie 16 with the kids there a lot in Alligator Bay, and out around the point into the Gulf. Very good cat sailing area.
