2009 Wind Ceremony
The Wind Ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2009. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. where your $20.00 will get you a coveted Homestead designed (thanks for the artwork Swami) Wind Ceremony T-Shirt. You can print off a registration form from the website and bring it with you or look for the registration tent and fill one out at the beach. Don’t forget to bring cash – checks will be accepted too.

This year we will have a Bar-B-Que cook off. If you want to participate, bring your best dish for our judges to sample. Don’t forget to bring your “go withs” (you know, beans, rice, noodles, bread, etc.). If you do not wish to participate in the cook off, please bring a side dish or desert. We will have judging of the BBQ around 6:00 and dinner shortly after. Swami and the Festoons will appear around 8:00 to provide the finest musical entertainment available at Shell Point Beach. Swami and The Festoons are sure to bestow upon the gathered crowd a well-rehearsed musical assortment of our favorites and possibly a few new pieces that are sure to become favorites. Make sure you pick up your wind stick from Tiki Mon at the registration table and write your wind wishes on it before tossing it in the bonfire. In the words of Rama Don, Follower of the Great Swami - “It’s not just a party, but after a long winter it’s a re-tying of the cosmic thread that connects us to the natural cycle of wind, water, sun and of course to each other.”

Swami says: “Who feels it knows it . . . it has always been thus.”

We're staying at the Inn at Wildwood on Fri & Sat nites. Mark V and I are playing golf at 2:15 pm there on Friday, if anyone would like to join us. I also have an 8 am tee time on Saturday morning (can change time if necessary,) where your golf (1 person) would be free - cart would be $20, if anyone is interested. Let me know if interested.
